Not Without Love

Greetings, My Dear Reader.

Just a reminder that it is not without love that we aspire to God's grace. By His grace do we enter into His Kingdom. And we love Him because He first loved us.

Primitive Skill Builders created this video, of a well, pool, fish pond and pretty round hut.  They work together beautifully, and exhibit something beautiful about God's creation in man. Here in Congenial Grissom, alas, the red clay soil is somewhat more difficult to work with, else I would recommend activities of this sort for my sons and daughter, if only to have a context in which we work well together, while honing our skills, and above all glorifying Jesus. However, I would not want to live in a hut like this. Rather, I see greater value in using this type of skill as a team-building activity, for teaching youth.

I would far rather live in a modern home, and attend a modern gym, have the foundation dug in a single day with efficient machines, rather than use human muscles for this as a normal means of construction.  And, I sense a need to live in a city, or at least a village (so long as there exists a goodly percentage of the Lost), where I come into contact with more people on a regular basis for evangelistic purposes.

The Apostle Paul holds clearly that we gain nothing of lasting value from our own merit, particularly not from our works. Rather, it is the Holy Spirit within us that works anything to the good. And, perversions or distortions of this reality, such as the assumption that you apart from submission to Jesus can effect anything good, leave you in a state of dis-ease.  You cannot be satisfied with anything less than Christ. And, our satisfaction in Christ glorifies Him.  Which is as it should be, and ever was, even and especially back before the Fall.
